Systems Specialist - BUS

Position reports to:      AVP IT, Atlanta, Georgia                                    Job Classification: Exempt                                           BUS Team Lead, Des Moines, Iowa

Basic Function and Scope: 

This position will be providing application development support for a Policy Administration System including related system integrations.  The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and a team player capable of working in a small, fast-paced environment with the ability to operate remotely. Insurance knowledge is desired. 

Major Responsibilities: 

This position is responsible for providing high quality support for user community. The employee will develop application enhancements based on requirements gathered from business users, analyze and resolve application bugs, administer system integrations and performance, coordinate releases with customers and internal teams, and provide system integration and process documentation. Additionally will work with business users on a day-to-day basis and perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

At least 5-7 years of development experience in Microsoft technologies including ASP.NET, C#. 5-7 years of relational database experience with MS SQL Server. Will possess strong object oriented design and analysis experience, experience developing enterprise applications and proven enterprise integration experience with web service. P&C Insurance Industry knowledge “preferred”. BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or the equivalent work experience. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and a desire to quickly learn new technologies. Demonstrates strong written and oral communications skills. Demonstrates ability to work with all levels of individuals. Ability to draft communications that are clear, concise, complete and professional. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Demonstrates organizational skills while working on multiple projects. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time in the performance of duties.
