Examiner
We are seeking an Auto Claims Examiner to be responsible for reviewing,
investigating, evaluate, negotiate and process auto claims.
Responsibilities:
-
Complete coverage
analysis.
-
Conduct
investigations and evaluations appropriate.
-
Assign
independent adjusters and provide direction to adjusters.
-
Evaluate damages.
-
Negotiate
settlements as appropriate.
-
Set up medical
record reviews or independent medical examinations as needed.
-
Resolve coverage
disputes with insureds and agents.
-
Prepare coverage
opinion letters.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree
preferred.
-
3 - 5 years of
relevant claims handling experience.
-
Excellent written
and oral communication skills.
-
Strong
negotiation skills.
-
Must be
detailed-oriented.
-
Proficient in
Excel and Word.
-
Able to
multi-task effectively.

Claims Support Representative
We are seeking a Claims Support Representative to be responsible for
handling all aspects of the administration/support for the claims
process. This position will be located in our Jersey City, NJ office.
Responsibilities:
-
Complete new
claim set up in the Claims Work Station (CWS) (including dropping
claim notices and policies to file) and fax claim acknowledgements
to brokers, agents and underwriters.
-
Assign
claims as directed.
-
Make expense
and indemnity payment requests in CWS, within authority.
-
Send
self-insured retention (SIR) letters to insureds, follow up on
payments, and advise claims regarding insured’s deductible
satisfaction.
-
Perform copy
work, including copying claim files and policies from CWS and BUS 2.
-
Use document
capturing software to drop large documents into the claim files.
-
Respond to
agent and broker inquiries regarding basic claim information.
-
Collect
reports from ISO claim search data base.
-
Assist
management with special projects.
-
Assist claim
department members with all other tasks as needed, including but not
limited to assistance with CWS set up difficulties and payment
issues.
Qualifications:
-
Associates
degree from a two-year college or university.
-
Two years of
experience in a Claim Support function.
-
Must have
working knowledge of insurance terminology (environmental insurance
experience a plus).
-
Strong
communication and organizational skills.
-
Able to
perform multiple duties in a fast paced environment.
-
Demonstrated
excellent customer service skills.
-
Be able to
work in an environment with minimal supervision.
-
Strong
working knowledge of WS Word, Excel and email systems.
-
Individual
must be highly ethical and maintain confidentiality.
